Easter Weekend

First, I need to apologize for not posting in a while. Nothing major keeping me from doing it. Just haven't taken the time. We've all been busy in the Eckeberger household. Robert went on his yearly spring bike ride. Him and two other buddies rode to Big Bend area and back. They seemed to have had a good trip! Nolan has kept me busy w/ "school", tball and AWANA class. He has tball practice every Tuesday and Thursday evenings. He is doing so well in it and is enjoying the heck out of it. I successfully scrambled up my AVON info I needed for our CPA for our taxes. MAN, I definitely HAVE to do something different this year!! Um, keep track of it - maybe!?!? Nolan and I went to LaGrange Easter weekend. Robert stayed here to shoot in a trap shoot @ Buffalo Creek. He did well there. He is currently in San Antonio shooting in the South West Grand. He said that every state is represented except for Alaska. He won Championship in his division in two different areas - one was Doubles and the other has just skipped my mind - sorry honey!! I'll get it right sooner or later!! Back to Nolan and I ;). We went by Buffalo Creek Friday before heading south to show daddio our support. We made it to my parent's Friday evening in time to enjoy a fish fry w/ Uncle Matt, Aunt Jen, Auntie Gail and Harper. It was nice just hanging out w/ the fam. Saturday morning we went to Granny's to prepare for the big Easter fest. Sunday morning I went to church w/ mom, granny, Gail and Harper while Nolan went to the farm to help Popo start the fire for the b-b-q. After we got out of church, I finished preparing my dishes and headed out to granny's. We had a fine time w/ lots of relatives, good food and reminiscing. The good Lord has been good to us this year! It turned out to be a beautiful day despite how it began! LaGrange and the surrounding areas have needed some rain terribly! I'll sign off w/ a cute "Nolan" story. When I arrived at the farm one of my uncles came up to me just a laughing. He said that he told Nolan that he liked his belt buckle. Nolan said thanks and then Uncle LeRoy proceeded to ask him where he got it from. Nolan told him that his dad gave it to him and Uncle LeRoy asked if he had to work for it. Nolan says no, that his dad won it in a trap shoot and is letting him wear it. Uncle LeRoy then states that Nolan has a good daddy. To which Nolan replies - "Well, he's better than nothing!"
