God Always Has Other Plans!!

Like so many, I have been really (more so) tired these last few days. So upon rising this morning a thought came to my mind - I will pray to the Lord, thanking Him in advance for the peaceful rest and nap that He would bless Nolan and I w/ today!! It was a normal Sunday morning for us - other than the fact that Robert wasn't home. Nolan watched TV as I attempted to read the paper then we had our breakfast. We got ready for church and headed out the door. The message was great and the congregation said their farewells to the interim Pastor as we also prayed for the new one coming this week. I went to get Nolan from Children's Church and as we were walking out I told them that we'd have lunch and then take a nap. He tells me (of course) that he wasn't tired so my immediate reply to him was that we'll at least have some quiet time and rest. To which his reply was "Mom, I'm not feeling very restable today." Such a wise little guy!! We got into the car and our short drive to San Pedro's (otherwise known in the Eckeberger family as Pete's restaurant because that was the name of the manager that worked there since Nolan was born and that's what Nolan always calls it even tho Pete is no longer there) was filled w/ yawns - times 2. We enjoyed our lunch together and continued our yawning drive home - where commenced a 2 hr struggle to get him to at least - lay still and be quiet!! Finally, I gave up and the rest of our day is yet to be lived out! My prayer for today has changed - according to God's will to: Dear Lord, let us get to bed early tonight and rest well!!
