.....or so I thought! This morning, I begrudgingly went to the gym. I lay in bed trying to convince myself not to go but thinking that I won't make it there this weekend or next week so off I went. I must say I'm pretty out of touch w/ the new country music and artists!! When I get a chance to listen to the radio - my preference is usually 95% Christian music. The other percentage is 80's and Old Country. Anyway, back to this morning at the gym - I was switching between GAC channel and The Balancing Act. On GAC, this new song/artist came on and I was going to change it but the name of the song and the beginning of it caught my attention: Pray for You - Jaron and The Long Road to Love

Mom's Birthday
My mother's birthday was this past weekend. Late last week we (the children) decided to throw her an impromptu birthday party - w/ dad in agreement, of course!! We decided that dad would grill chicken breasts and the kiddos would bring the side dishes. My parents have 5 children, 12 grandchildren and one on the way!! All were present except for 6 grandkids and of course the one that's still in the oven! My grandmother was also able to join us!! We had a great time and enjoyed each other's company! Our family, like many, has been going thru some strifeful times of late but it looks like we're making our way thru it - slowly but surely. The saying that 'time heals all wounds' is true when God is involved. Sometimes that "time" can seem like forever - but hold fast to God and HIS will and that time will heal all wounds!!

Struggling today!!
I am on Day Five of the Love Dare. From the movie Fireproof. Today's dare is to ask your spouse what 3 things that may cause him/her to become uncomfortable or irritated w/ you. Here is my concern. I know in my heart of hearts that one thing about me that irritates him is my horrible habit of procrastination!! I HATE it!! It REALLY, REALLY bothers me too! I just can't control it!! I can come up w/ any excuse why I didn't do a certain thing(s)!! It drives me nuts!! I have the "want to" to do everything that needs to be done - I just choose to do what I have to to get by!! I need to clean closets, cabinets, drawers..... And know how wonderful it feels when it's actually done!! But just can't seem to get it done!! For the last 2 years, I even made a New Year's resolution to not procrastinate - "Why put off until tomorrow......." I'm into my second year and still putting it off!! If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can break this horrible habit - please feel free to make a comment here or send me an email!! Keep me in your prayers that this devil's way of getting to me ends soon!! Thanks for your prayers and help!!

Unusual Post
I call this an unusual post because it's very unusual that I will post on the weekend. As my boys took off to the Harley shop, I found something in my hometown paper - yes, The Fayette County Record, that I'd like to share:
What is Life?
Life is a challenge, choose it;
Life is a chance, take it;
Life is an opportunity, seize it;
Life is a battle, wage it;
Life is a song, sing it;
Life is a joybell, ring it;
Life is a promise, test it;
Life is a drama, act it;
Life is an adventure, risk it;
Life is a race, run it;
Life is a contest, win it;
Life is a duty, dare it (Author Unknown)
Take time and live life to the fullest - it's what God wants us to do!!
As I lay in bed last night trying desperately to sleep my mind was excitedly going over things that I could post. I have limited time today - Robert and I actually found a sitter on short notice last night when we decided that since today is supposed to be beautiful - we're going w/ a group of friends on a bike (as in Harley) ride! Keep us in your prayers for a safe ride!! Obviously, I'm still a little nervous riding! I pray for the first hour of the trips and then finally give it up to Him and enjoy the ride!! More on that Monday!! I'll share w/ ya'll a yummy pizza recipe that Nolan and I tried last night! It's nothing major but maybe it will put to rest other people's anxieties towards making pizza's at home. We've just begun experimenting but so far so good!!
1 12in Mama Mary's Whole Wheat w/ Honey Pizza crust
1 8oz can tomato sauce w/ basil, garlic and oregano
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb hamburger
1/2 cup onion
turkey pepperoni, as much as wanted
garlic salt, optional
canned mushrooms
Preheat oven @ 450 degrees. Spread tomato sauce over pizza crust. Sprinkle w/ cheese. Sprinkle w/ garlic salt, if using. Saute hamburger (we actually used deer meat) and onions season w/ salt, pepper, and Italian Seasoning. Sprinkle meat mixture over cheese. Top w/ pepperoni and mushrooms. Lower oven to 425 and bake for 7 1/2 to 10 minutes. Enjoy!!
Obviously, you can add (or take away) any pizza toppings you like (or don't ;) ).
I just thought I'd share this because I've always wanted to make pizza's at home but have always been hesitant. One day, I'll work up the nerve to try making the crust from scratch - not that brave yet!! Don't worry about the turkey pepperoni or the wheat crust - I snuck them in on Robert and he couldn't even tell - or at least didn't comment!!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
