Boy Howdy

...was yesterday (Saturday) a busy day!!?!? We had tball pictures scheduled for 9 a.m. We got there early and of course they were running behind schedule!! So we waited

and waited

in the rather cool~tho chilly at times because of the gusty wind~morning.

Nolan is playing on the Red Raiders' team! He was disappointed that he wasn't on the Aggies' team tho relieved that he wasn't on the Longhorns' team!!

Sister (Laura) surprised him and showed up to watch some of the game!! He was so proud that she was there!! They did surprisingly well considering they were missing a few players so some of the players (including Nolan) had to play positions that they haven't even practiced playing in!!! The game ended in a tied game 14-14 which gives the Raiders a record of 1 each! 1 win, 1 loss and 1 tie!!


After the ball game, we headed out to the country club where Robert was cooking hamburgers for the golfers. It was a golf tourney to raise money for the Chandler Lodge. He had gotten up at 5:30 and had made breakfast tacos for them and then started to prepare hamburgers for lunch. We served hamburgers, pork and beans, potato salad, cake and tea to over 150 golfers!! Definitely brought back memories of the catering days!!


We got home around 4:30 and had a surprise waiting for us!! Justin and Rachel!!! It was so good to see them!! Justin is "home" for a week and then will go back to San Diego and will head out to sea for 6-9 months!! Then he will back in Texas for good!!
