Day One and Early Part of Day Two - Eureka Springs

Our trip started out w/ a snotty boy waking mom up at 3:30 a.m.(Wednesday morn) feeling really, really ROTTEN!! His eyes were watering, nose was running and had a nasty cough!! This was pretty miserable for all seeing that this is a very rare occasion for us!! (Thank goodness!!) I crawled out of bed and shortly thereafter, Nolan wakes up still miserable!! I phoned Tele-Care and the kind nurse deduced that it probably was just a viral infection and that we could continue on w/ our trip. It was suggested to keep on eye on his breathing and if he started showing any signs of wheezing and such to call. This was one of "those" times when we debated to take him in or head out for our trip. I called back and the first available appt was at 10:15. We decided to stock up on OTC meds and his Allegra and hit the road. We were concerned about the weather. We were expecting heavy rains all the way to Arkansas - but were blessed w/ just scattered showers. We arrived in Arkansas - 3 Kleenex boxes later - safe and sound w/ Laura, Dallas and Neely (Robert's daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter) waiting for us at our cottage all nice and toasty. We unloaded the vehicle and headed out for our carriage ride thru downtown Eureka Springs. It was a really nice ride, touring the town lit up w/ Christmas lights! We had a light dinner at a cafe called The Garden Bistro. We then headed out to check out the Allmon's cozy cottage and then headed back to ours to bathe and snuggle in for the night. Nolan and I had a pretty restless night but got up ready to go the next morning. We sent dad to the grocery store and then headed to meet the Allmons for breakfast at the Mud Street Cafe. YUMMY!! Neely and family are moved in w/ us and we are all in our jammies - snuggled in for the day. The Turducken is setting out - getting ready to be roasted and we are all awaiting the coming snow!! Keep your fingers crossed!! The last we heard, we could possibly get anywhere from 3-5 inches!! (Pictures to be added - couldn't get them uploaded to dad's computer!!)
